Telecommunications Ministry agrees to assign stakes in telecom companies to SvyazinvestKommersant
The respective draft governmental resolutions have been approved with all the relevant ministries and agencies. As a result, Svyazinvest can expect to receive stakes in Central Telegraph (29%), MMTS-9 (50.67%), Bashinformsvyaz (28.24%) and Chukotkasvyazinform (75%), which are held under state ownership.
In addition, on June 12 Russian President Dmitry Medvedev signed into law a decree which approved a proposal by the government, and ordered that 100% of Ingushelektrosvyaz be contributed to the charter capital of Svyazinvest as payment for an additional share issue by the holding. The total amount of the additional issue will be determined after an independent appraisal is made of Ingushelektrosvyaz.
