Rostelecom to set up branch for management of cellular assets in summer of 2010Prime-TASS
Rostelecom (RTKM) plans in the summer of 2010 to set up a branch for the purpose of managing the cellular assets of the merged company, which will be established during the process of the reorganization of Svyazinvest holding. This news was reported today to journalists by the general director of the holding Anton Kolpakov.
This branch will be in charge of managing the cellular companies controlled by Svyazinvest holding, and also implementing the terms of Rostelecom’s licenses for broadband wireless Internet access (in 38 regions) which the company was awarded based on the results of tenders held in February and March of this year.
Speaking about the timeframe for setting up this branch, Anton Kolpakov pointed out that the establishment of the branch should be approved by decision of the board of directors the board of directors. “Hopefully the decision will be made this summer”, Mr Kolpakov noted.
