Krasnodar. September 23, 2009: Southern Telecommunications Company (UTK) [(RTS: KUBN. KUBNP; ÌICEX: UTEL. UTELP; ADR OTC: STJSY. KUE FRA)], the largest fixed-line telecommunications operator in the Southern Federal District hereby announces that in accordance with a decision by the Board of Directors of the company (Minutes # 9 dated September 9, 2009). The amount of the loan is RUR 3,000 mln with a term from September 17, 2009 until September 16, 2012 (inclusive). The loan is to be repaid on a monthly basis in equal portions, beginning from July 17, 2011 and on the 17th day of each subsequent month. The interest rate is 15.64%.
