Krasnodar, October 2, 2009: Southern Telecommunications Company (UTK) ([(RTS: KUBN, KUBNP; ÌICEX: UTEL, UTELP; ADR OTC: STJSY, KUE FRA)], the largest fixed-line telecom operator in the Southern Federal District of Russia hereby announces that on October 1, 2009 a public tender was held for the right to extend non-revolving credit lines with a limit of RUR 3 bln. The tender was attended by three large lending institutions: MInB, Bank VTB and the Bank of Moscow. Themaximumpricewas16.5%. The Bank of Moscow was declared to be the winner of the tender after offering a RUR 1 bln credit line with a 13.86% interest rate. VTB Bank was declared the winner of the second and third lots and of RUR 1 bln each at 14.44% and 14.52%, respectively.
Non-revolving credit lines are to be concluded with these lending institutions after the transactions are approved by the Board of Directors. The tender materials can be viewed on the company’s website.
