Svyazinvest awarded national prize by Financial Olympics for Efficient Asset ManagementPress release
The official awards ceremony was held on June 2 for the Financial Olympics in the Moscow President Hotel. More than 20 nominations were made in three categories: “Results and Success”, “Potential and Outlook”, and “Trends and Efficiency”. The award “For Efficient Asset Management” went to the general director of the holding Evgeny Yurchenko. In expressing his gratitude for the award, Mr. Yurchenko pointed out that Svyazinvest is going through the biggest reorganization in Russia, in which over 200,000 people participate. Evgeny Yurchenko voiced his confidence in the ongoing restructuring process and said he hoped all the companies present for the ceremony would reach their own Olympic heights.
The “Financial Olympics” is considered to be the highest Russian financial award and is made on an annual basis in view of operations related to the national financial rating, taking into account expert evaluations and public opinion. The winners are selected based on input from managers at the relevant ministries, agencies and federal services, as well as representatives of legislative and executive authorities, auditors and consulting companies. The “Financial Olympics” is sponsored by RBC, Russia’s largest information research holding. The major criterion for the selection of winners among banks, management, investment and insurance companies as well as private pension funds was their performance in 2009.
